On June 25, 2016, Kaya Natin! Movement conducted the first medical mission in Brgy. Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan after its establishment in 2010.
Brgy. Gaya-Gaya is a relocation site for informal settlers in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces. Kaya Natin first encountered the community during the 2016 campaign for VP Leni Robredo, and has since then mobilized efforts in helping this charming community, after seeing their impoverished and strained way of life.
The site has scarce access to basic necessities such as food, water, electricity, and health services. And its distance from urban centers make it hard for its residents to sustain viable livelihoods.
Through the collective effort of Kaya Natin, Zeta Beta Mu Fraternity of UST, Urban Poor Associate's, and Jollibee however, the medical mission was able to provide free medical check-ups and free reading glasses to around 540 individuals in the area; as well as free meals to the community.
