We, members and leaders of the Kaya Natin Movement, express our collective revulsion at the recent attempts of various personalities to discredit the character of Vice President Leni Robredo.
VP Leni is presently one of our active leaders and the widow of one of our founders, the late Secretary Jesse Robredo. She is, to us, the very model of an effective, ethical, and empowering leader--incorruptible, modest, and consistent in her focus on the challenges of the poor and the marginalized, while cultivating the grace and wisdom demanded by statesmanship.
As colleagues and friends in the advocacy for good governance and leadership with integrity, it is, therefore, in our pride and joy to share to the entire world what we know of the real VP Leni whom we have seen emerge through the years into the most unusual of leaders--a hardworking and dedicated public servant, who is the farthest person from the caricature of laziness, ineptitude, and corruption that is hastily drawn by her political enemies who see her as a threat to the present administration.
VP Leni has never advocated for the removal of the President by any means. She has called out national policies that go against social justice and human rights; but she has, throughout her words and actions, never intended to disrespect the mandate given to the President. Moreover, she has time and again said that she is not interested in taking part in any usurpation of power that would lead towards destabilization of our country.
With this we iterate that dissent doesn’t necessarily mean discord, as it is so greatly ingrained to us by various supporters of the present administration. Dissent is a critical part of a well-functioning democracy that is the right of every citizen.
Therefore, we encourage our countrymen to open their minds to discourse and continue rejecting baseless accusations and lies hurled at VP Leni. .As a nation, we know we share the truth: that in the Vice-President we have a servant leader working diligently for the upliftment of the marginalized sectors of our society and with visionary zeal for true social justice.

Ang Kaya Natin Movement ay nagpapahayag ng aming sama-samang pagtuligsa sa tangkang paninira ng iba’t-ibang personalidad sa ating Pangalawang Pangulo na si Leni Robredo, na isa sa mga aktibong lider ng ating bansa at biyuda ng isa sa mga nagtatag ng Kaya Natin Movement na si Sec. Jesse M. Robredo.
Para sa amin, isa siyang halimbawa ng effective, empowering at ethical na lider na simple at desedidong matulungan ang ating mga kababayan na nasa laylayan ng lipunan, habang naglilinang ng tikas at talino na kinakailangan sa serbisyong pampubliko.
Bilang katrabaho at kaibigan sa adbokasiya ng mabuting pamamahala at etical na liderato, kami ay buong pusong nagagalak na ibahagi sa buong mundo ang tunay na VP Leni na nakita naming lumitaw bilang isa sa mga hindi karaniwang lider ng ating bayan - isang masipag at disenteng lingkod, na siyang pinakamalayo sa imahe ng katamaran, kawalan ng kabagayan, at kabulukang dali-dali ibinibintang ng kanyang mga kaaway sa pulitika na nakikita siya bilang isang banta sa administrasyon.

Bilang isang bansa, alam namin at ibinabahagi namin ang katotohanan na may Bise Presidente tayo na nangunguna na tulungan ang mga kababayan natin na nasa laylayan ng lipunan at sa pangarap na makamit ang katarungang panlipunan sa ating bansa.
