Local Government

School of Leadership and Governance (SLG)

The “School of Leadership and Governance” is a program in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF), National College of Public Administration (UP-NCPAG), National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL), and Alliance of Leaders of Empowering Communities (ALEC). It is a 5-month fellowship program that aims to train and develop young local government leaders to become effective, ethical, and empowering public servants that will work towards addressing their various local government units’ social problems. 8 former mayors and KN Champions will act as the mentors of the participants. Their task is to guide and help these young local leaders with their leadership concerns and experience. In this way, the participants will learn from their mentors and can use their learning in implementing their programs in their respective communities. Another distinct factor of the program is that, our mentors have their own field of expertise wherein the chosen participants may choose on their interests and advocacies.
